Class Description
Mindful Yoga
Have you ever wanted to give yoga a try, but don’t know the names of the poses, or think you aren’t flexible enough? Mindful Yoga is a great place to start! The flow of the poses is slowed down enough for the participant to enter the poses and hold them at a level he or she feels comfortable with while receiving detailed cues and hands on assistance from the instructor (if the participant is comfortable). This class allows for the participant to strengthen and stretch while mindfully becoming aware of the intricacies of his or her body movements. Beginners and seasoned yogis alike will benefit from a mindful flow in this class.
Yin Yoga
Need to stretch, recover, and Zen out? Yin Yoga is a class to help! Each of the poses are held for 1-3 minutes to give your body a chance to settle in and reap the benefit of stretching. This class is great for a day off of your workout, or post workout to keep your muscles, joints, and fascia supple and ready for whatever life may throw at you.
Tabata
This high intensity interval training class features bursts of 20 seconds of hard work followed by a 10 second rest period for 8 rounds. After each section of 8 rounds, the participant gets a full 1 minute break before moving on to the next set of 8 rounds. The class will feature movements to incorporate all of the major muscle groups of the body. Tabata is suitable for all fitness levels!
